Lunive Novalyn
"The heavens lie all the time. You just never know it."

The Lorebook
Lunive Novalyn (true name: Asteria) formerly resided in the heavens. She was once considered a fierce warrior of the heavens, but she also kept to herself in comparison to her celestial siblings. She has been illustrated to have massive wings that seem to be made of starlight when her true name is whispered.A compassionate being at heart, she beheld the suffering of those on the earthen realm and began to question. The gods did not approve of being questioned on why they do not intervene on the sufferings of the very beings Lunive and her kin are to protect and thus ordered her to be cast out from the heavens. Pinned by her siblings, her wings brutally torn from her back enough to leave deep scars, Lunive was cast out--and landed in the Black Shroud of Eorzea.Weakened by her Fall, with no wings and barely enough of her powers, Lunive got onto a carriage, an offering by a kind-hearted driver, and was bound toward Gridania. Throughout the ride, the nephilim made two decisions: she'd take revenge on the heavens and protect Eorzeans within her power.Personality: Lunive is compassionate and, due to the trauma of her Fall, anxious. However, once she learned to find her voice, she never backs down from what's right.Abilities: Save for the energies required to be a White Mage, Lunive can also change her appearance at will. She also has supernatural strength, is skilled with all manner of martial weapons, as well as other enhanced prowess.

Celestial Rivalry - After her Fall, Lunive now has a rivalry against the heavens as well as her celestial siblings who tore her wings from her. Her feelings towards her siblings are complicated, between her love for them as well as her rage of what they have done to her.
A Compassionate Heart - Lunive has a gentle heart for the plight of others. She would do anything in her powers to heal with her newfound capabilities as a White Mage, as well her weakened angelic abilities. She also has a high sense of empathy and is prone to follow her heart more than her head.
Quiet Scars - Lunive's Fall was very traumatic for her and she never speaks of it. Only those who discover her true identity and name--thus earning the nephilim's trust--would she slowly reveal what has happened to her.

Scions of the Seventh Dawn: Lunive harbors a respect for her fellow Scions. Many of them are unaware of her being a nephilim, much less formerly an angel, despite Thancred often teasing that she is an angel in certain instances. She is protective of the Scions, especially the twins since she feels they were far too young to witness the things they have.
Estinien: They get along reasonably well all things considering. While Estinien has respect for Lunive's skill, he sees her as a younger sister (despite her being vastly older than he is).
Aymeric: Lunive has a slight fondness for Aymeric, however she is unsure whether her feelings stem from love (having never felt it before) or if it is platonic.
Haurchefant: She sees him as something of a brother and a dear friend after the events of ARR. Of course, she mourns his loss when he is killed, which causes her to question her own helplessness despite that she is a celestial being.
